The challenge: ensuring centralized tenant management across an MSP group

As a Dutch MSP Group, Techone manage more than 4,000 Microsoft 365 tenants. As a result, they were struggling to centralize tenant management and ensure strengthened security controls. They were seeing inconsistent settings, varied naming conventions, and security gaps. 

The solution: simplified and scaled onboarding, governance and visibility  

As inforcer is a Microsoft-native solution, Techone can use the Partner Center to onboard customers and further existing GDAP relationships, while avoiding complex app registrations.

inforcer then allows Techone to create a standardized baseline for all their tenants, ensuring consistency across the group and minimizing security gaps. They save a significant amount of time by carrying out mass deployments to mitigate vulnerabilities. inforcer recognises existing policies and offers a choice to delete, rename, or align them as needed.

The AI policy explanations in inforcer provide helpful insight into what every policy does, simplifying ongoing management for Techone’s engineers. They can also easily enable a new feature to create an upsell opportunity.

Techone use inforcer’s alerting features to gain visibility into their tenants and identify any potential gaps. For instance, they can use alerts to see when applications are expiring, or how many admins do not have MFA enabled.

The results: time saved and consistency enforced across MSP group 

In inforcer, Techone found a multi-MSP solution as well as a multi-tenant solution. By creating a shared baseline that they use across their MSP group, Techone was able to standardize their work, ensure consistency, and easily share knowledge across teams of engineers. All MSPs in the group have to align to their minimum security requirements to ensure that customers are properly protected.

They have saved a significant amount of time by automating mass deployments. For example, a policy change might take ten minutes to carry out in just one tenant when done manually. With inforcer, they can make the same change across their entire tenant base in less than five minutes.

They have seen many additional benefits including higher customer Secure Scores and a reduced risk of shadow IT for tenant tools. Techone’s engineers are making fewer mistakes in individual tenants, and the time they have saved has allowed them space to be more proactive, resulting in fewer vulnerabilities.
