The challenge

Previously, Sharp EIT managed its Microsoft 365 security policies through a combination of manual configuration and scripts developed inhouse, while documenting their tenants on an ongoing basis. Over time, this became laborious, and as the number of tenants grew, it became unsustainable to keep their policies aligned to best practices.  

As a Microsoft service provider, Sharp EIT also used Secure Score as a KPI. As such, they needed a solution to demonstrate true service value, reporting to customers that their renewed security approach was providing gains. 


The solution

With inforcer, Sharp EIT has developed a two-tier approach to its Managed Service delivery, ensuring all clients are kept secure and compliant while simplifying its own internal processes.  

inforcer’s multi-tenant support has allowed Sharp EIT to move away from manual policy management, replacing its standard scripts and documentation with regimented policy distribution and a dashboard designed for full visibility across all tenants. They also use inforcer for managing and reporting on policy alignment and drift. 

Utilizing inforcer's core baseline policies and Tenant Tagging functionality, Sharp EIT can quickly and easily conduct incremental rollouts of new security policies across all its customer tenants. This ensures the secure rollout of policies and allows customers to witness the gradual improvement of their Secure Score. Using inforcer has also simplified configuration for frameworks such as the Essential Eight and CIS Controls.
