In September, Microsoft launched #IntuneForMSPs, a global initiative launched to help MSPs solve the challenges of multi-tenant management and bring Microsoft’s suite of enterprise-grade solutions to the SMB at scale.
By helping MSPs to consolidate tooling and add scalability to their Microsoft service offering, #IntuneForMSPs is ultimately designed to enable MSPs to deliver effective AI solutions on top of a secure Microsoft tenant.
The significance of this announcement has perhaps gone underrecognized by the wider MSP community. At its core, #IntuneForMSPs serves as Microsoft’s official recognition of the market opportunity presented for them by SMBs, and the important role MSPs play in helping them to unlock this. For the first time, Microsoft is acknowledging the multi-tenant gap in their product suite and working with vendors like inforcer to bridge the gap.
Hear from Lior Bela, Business Director of Microsoft Intune, about the reasoning behind #IntuneForMSPs and their collaboration with inforcer.
How Ignite announcements support #IntuneForMSPs
MSPs might still be sceptical about the impact this will have on the wider space, as well as their day-to-day operations. However, just two months after launching the #IntuneForMSPs initiative, Microsoft is already following through and putting its money where its mouth is.
The ultimate expression of Microsoft’s commitment to a market is when they change their licensing. In November, at Microsoft Ignite, Microsoft made several announcements regarding changes to their licensing to make their products more accessible to SMBs.
Microsoft 365 Copilot Business
They launched Microsoft 365 Copilot Business, which allows SMBs with fewer than 300 users to access the enterprise-grade capabilities of Copilot at a lower price point. They are running limited time promotions running from 1st December 2025 to 31st March 2026 to further reduce the cost of adoption.
Microsoft has launched a Copilot Business standalone SKU for $21/user/month (or $18/user/month within the promotion period). Alternatively, they have bundled Copilot Business with existing qualifying Microsoft 365 Business plans:
- Business Basic + Copilot: $36/user/month, paid yearly.
- Business Standard + Copilot: $42.50/user/month, paid yearly.
- Business Premium + Copilot: $52/user/month, paid yearly.
There is an additional Purview Suite for Business Premium add-on for just $5/user/month during the promotional period, down from $10/user/month. If SMBs purchase the add-on before 31st March 2026, they can lock in discounted pricing for the full year.
What does this mean for MSPs?
These changes reflect Microsoft’s commitment to accelerating the delivery of enterprise-grade AI services to the SMB market.
As Copilot is now available at a more affordable price point, SMBs who have previously been priced out of considering AI tools will start asking you about adoption. It is essential that you are prepared to help them assess their readiness, identify Copilot business cases, and roll out on top of a secure tenant.
Jason Roszak, VP of Product at Microsoft Security, discusses the security capabilities of Business Premium, and the importance of multi-tenant management tools like inforcer in facilitating the rollout of enterprise-grade security at scale.
How can you secure your customers for Copilot rollout?
Ensuring data security, governance, and compliance is essential before commencing any AI roadmap. inforcer now supports Purview policy management, allowing you to easily ensure a secure, orchestrated data layer. Our Copilot readiness assessment analyses critical areas such as Microsoft 365 usage and productivity patterns, data governance practices including data loss prevention, tenant security posture, and licensing. This enables MSPs to identify and remediate gaps and have more strategic conversations with their customers around their Copilot roll out.
