Microsoft recently rebranded it’s Intune offering in line with the 365 suite. We take a look at what is included in each of the two plans.

Microsoft Intune Plan 1 previously known as just “Intune” is included in the Microsoft 365 and EMS plans and perhaps already included in your plan. With some exceptions, Intune Plan 1 includes the core features as you have been using them today.

For Plan 1, there is the possibility to add Remote Help, Endpoint Privilege Management, Advanced Endpoint Analtics and the other upcoming features as standalone services.

Now there is also Intune Plan 2 and Intune Suite.

Microsoft Intune Plan 2 includes some additional add-ons to plan 1 including two key products:

•    Microsoft Intune Tunnel for Mobile Application Management
•    Microsoft Intune Management of Specialty Devices

Microsoft Intune Tunnel for Mobile Application Management allows you to use Intune Tunnel together with your MAM enabled applications. Microsoft Intune management of specialty devices enables you to manage specialty devices in Intune such as AR/VR devices, conference room meeting devices and large smart screen devices.

Intune Suite

The Intune Suite is a pack including both Plan 1 and Plan 2 functionality in addition to some extra add-ons (which is likely to increase over time). Today, these extras are quite limited as it includes Microsoft Intune Tunnel for Mobile Application Management and Remote Help. However, many administrators may see the availability of new features as they are released already included as a benefit of the Intune Suite.

Microsoft has announced that they will release Endpoint Privilege Management and Advanced Endpoint Analytics soon which will of course make Intune Suite more attractive.
