Highlights and takeaways from Microsoft Ignite 2025

Microsoft’s annual flagship conference, Microsoft Ignite, wrapped up last week. Bringing together IT professionals and business leaders from across the globe, Ignite offers an opportunity for Microsoft to unveil their latest projects and innovations, and share insights into their future roadmap.

The inforcer team had the opportunity to not only attend but also sponsor the event as Visionary sponsors. Here are some of our highlights from a jam-packed, incredible week in San Francisco.

The MSP Mixer

We kicked off the week by hosting our very own ‘pre-game’ for Ignite on Monday evening, the night before the conference officially began. Our 'MSP Mixer' was hosted at Cityscape, the highest bar in San Francisco. The stunning views of the city were matched only by the insightful conversations we had with so many of our partners and wider MSP Community!

MISA Secure the Night party

On Tuesday, we co-sponsored the MISA Secure the Night Party. This was a fantastic opportunity to connect with security innovators and industry leaders, share insights on the evolving cyber security landscape, and collaborate with fellow MISA partners. We were also thrilled to give everyone a chance to have a go on our Arcade 365 machines!

This week, inforcer was also announced as a Security Software Development Company of the Year award finalist in the 2026 Microsoft Security Excellence Awards. We’re proud that this nomination recognizes the strides we're taking in AI innovation for MSPs as well as our continual prioritization of stellar security standards, underpinned by Microsoft technology.

The modern MSP playbook for multi-tenant Microsoft 365 security and Copilot readiness

On Wednesday, our Chief Product Officer, Matthé Smit, presented on the modern MSP playbook for multi-tenant Microsoft 365 security and Copilot readiness. His talk focused on helping MSPs transform ‘turning on Copilot’ into tangible business outcomes. He outlined a structured roadmap for MSPs to prepare for AI-driven services while maintaining strong security across multiple tenants. Key stages of this roadmap included:

  • Standardizing Microsoft 365 across all customers to simplify management and ensure consistency.
  • Hardening identity and endpoints as the tenant is the new server and identity is the new firewall.
  • Ensuring effective data governance to meet compliance and security requirements.
  • Delivering outcome-based AI services by leveraging Copilot and related tools to boost productivity and create new revenue streams.

It was great to see such a strong turnout, highlighting just how important these themes are to the modern MSP.

Unsurprisingly, Copilot was a major theme of Ignite as a whole, as the tech community explored its evolving impact and future potential. During the conference, Microsoft announced Microsoft 365 Copilot Business, a version of Copilot specifically designed for SMBs with fewer than 300 users.

For MSPs, this means that customers who have previously been unable to consider Copilot due to budget constraints will now start asking for Copilot. As a result, it’s more important than ever to be prepared to assess customers’ Copilot readiness accurately and deliver Copilot securely.

inforcer's Copilot Readiness Assessment helps MSPs to take these steps, enabling you to assess your customers’ maturity for Copilot adoption and take the next steps towards improving readiness.

Connecting with our Community

One of the greatest highlights of Ignite was, of course, the chance to catch up and connect with our Community. We had so many valuable conversations with MSPs and were thrilled to strengthen our Microsoft relationship. Lior Bela, Business Director of Microsoft Intune, even joined us for some of our notorious LEGO giveaways!

A big thank you to everyone at Microsoft Ignite who made the experience so special and insightful.
